Join us this Mother’s Day (Sunday May 10) for our final concert of the 25-26 season, titled American Soundscapes.
In a program described by conductor Brad Hershey as “a love-letter to the American spirit”, the concert features works conjuring up sweeping landscapes and vibrant urban cultures. Aaron Copland’s Hoedown depicts the thrill of the rodeo, while his Fanfare for a Common Man honors the American people. Medleys of essential standards from George Gershwin and Duke Ellington recall the heady days of the Roaring Twenties and the Jazz Age in a youthful and exuberant New York, and the foundation of the Great American Songbook.
The concert begins at 4pm in the Wood River High School Performing Arts Theater in Hailey’s Community Campus. Moms will be honored with a small gift made possible by the generosity of Hailey’s Grocery Outlet.
Thank you, Leisa Hollister at the Eye on Sun Valley
